Tulse Hill Methodist Church, London

Modernisation of an existing 1960’s church to create a welcoming community building.

Proposed works include:

  • New “glass box” extension on the front elevation for use as a café/meeting/event space
  • The remodelling of the building exterior to provide more impact on the street and raise public awareness of the building as a community facility
  • Improvement of existing building fabric to reduce running costs and improve comfort levels in the building
  • Reordered sanctuary to cater for flexible style of worship
  • The upgrading of interiors including new finishes; lighting and heating to create better ambience
  • New suite of “bookable” community spaces
  • The refurbishment of the existing church hall with dedicated kitchen; storage and ancillary spaces to cater for larger group activities and events.
